My thrifty finds
Trying to keep it funky yet affordable? Here’s my thrifty go-tos!
I find myself struggling to find unique clothes that don’t completely break the bank, especially since I buy all of my clothes on my own.
My friends and I often enjoy going thrifting together, bonding through the various racks and aisles. It also happens to be the easiest way to find a bargain. Throughout the years, I’ve found many fashionable yet affordable stores that help me stand out in the crowd.
Village Discount Outlet: Village Discount is one of my personal favorites as a professional thrifter. You can find clothes as cheap as 50 to 75 cents, which is like heaven for a bargain seeker like me.
Highland Throwbacks: Highland Throwbacks, a classical thrift store located in Highland Square in Akron is one of my personal favorites. They sell originals and other kinds of clothes you wouldn’t find in any other store. One downside to this store is that they can be a little pricey, especially for a thrift shop.
Goodwill: Goodwill, an age old classic, has been one of my favorite stores since I was little. A perk of this thrift heaven is that there’s multiple locations throughout Akron. Goodwill sells a variety of clothes ranging in all different kinds of sizes and styles, which is always a plus for me. Finding originals can be a struggle at Goodwill sometimes, but there’s always funky clothes that I know I would be the only one wearing.
Plato’s Closet: Although Plato’s Closet can be a little on the pricier side of thrifting, they still have all the latest and unique trends. Plato’s Closet is convenient and one of a kind, containing articles that resemble artistic side of clothing, in both their Cuyahoga Falls and North Canton locations.
