Overrated or underrated: Easter candy edition
Every year the Easter Bunny comes to our houses and hides various candies and treats. Usually, the Easter Bunny has immaculate taste and leaves stellae treats. However, sometimes the Easter Bunny makes a mistake and provides less-than-great candies. This is an in-depth look at where the Easter Bunny has either messed up or done an exceptional job.
Chocolate Bunny: Overrated
Don’t get me wrong, I love chocolate just as much as anyone else. But putting it in the form of a bunny just makes it harder to eat without providing any real benefits. Sure, it looks good, but from a practical standpoint there is no reason for chocolate bunnies to exist.
Peeps: Underrated
There’s nothing better than finding a box of Peeps in your easter basket. It’s literally pure sugar with some flavoring and its simplicity is the main contributor to its greatness. The overwhelming variety of flavors only helps Peeps’ case, as you’ll never become tired of eating them. Despite the increased risk of heart attack that comes with eating pure sugar, the immaculate taste of Peeps makes the reward much greater than the risk.
Jellybeans: Overrated
If you want an incredibly average candy, look no further than jellybeans. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad jellybean, but at the same time I’ve never had a great one. Usually they’re fairly bland and the boxes never seem to have enough of the flavor you like. Unfortunately, some people swear that jellybeans are amazing, but they’re deeply mistaken, causing jellybeans to be one of the most overrated candies. .
Sweet Tart Gummy Bunnies: Underrated
By perfecting the ratio of sweet-to-sour I want in my candy, Sweet Tart Gummy Bunnies have become the most underrated candies in the world. Every flavor offers a different experience and there isn’t one flavor that is worse than the others. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be hard to find these, but if you manage to get your hands on some you’re in for a treat.
Cadbury Creme Eggs: Overrated
Cadbury Creme Eggs feel like a candy of the past in many ways. I remember when I was young I used to see these every Easter but now it’s fairly difficult to find them. They’re average as a candy, as chocolate will always be amazing. However, the creme filling doesn’t really add anything special and at the end of the day I’d rather just have a plain chocolate bar.
Easter M & M’s: Underrated
M&M’s takes their classic, milk chocolate and candy-coated confection and turns them into the fun pastels that represent Easter colors. Though the change is slight, I swear that Easter M&M’s have a higher quality coating that is crunchier than their normal counterparts, creating a better texture between the crunchy coating and smooth milk chocolate inside.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs: Overrated
I love anything Reese’s Peanut Butter and these aren’t an exception. However, they’re pretty much the exact same candy as regular Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. While the taste is amazing, this complete lack of innovation and creativity makes me ask why these eggs even exist.
